Indonesia is a country rich in natural beauty and spices, with people so open and welcoming to outsiders.
But who would have thought that Indonesia, once known for its open hands, kind heart, and compassion for others—so admired by the world—could be this broken?
Without outsiders knowing, justice in this nation is often silenced, humanity is killed, and the voices of the common people are never truly heard by the country’s officials.
The House of Representatives, which should stand at the forefront to ensure the welfare of the people, instead slowly robs the people’s rights by issuing unnecessary regulations that only burden them.
A police officer, who should protect the people, instead chooses to obey orders from superiors just to keep their job, regardless of having to take innocent lives.
I don't understand my country, where those already wealthy still feel it is never enough—so much so that they dare to steal trillions through corruption. The people’s aspirations feel like nothing more than the wind passing by.
Who else are we supposed to trust? The President? The ministers?
We only need proof, not just words.
